Birthday Camping 2016

This year we went Zions park for our annual camping trip for my birthday. The kids had a blast!!! We went swimming and Rowed a boat around the lake, hiking and played at the park on the rope swing and various other toys.

A Real Date

I planned a Real date! its been years since we have done something this adventurous and fun just the two of us. so i borrowed Sherry Wilson's car and trailor and blind folded Pat. then went to the O'Leary's house to pick up their Kayaks. i packed a lunch and we headed to Salsbury Park. that was a little stressful (to say the least) driving someone else's car, pulling a trailer. i even had to have Shawn O'Leary help me back the car out of his driveway. all the while pat was still blind folded and had no idea someone else jumped in the car and was driving. but we made it safely and even had a lot of fun! we kayaked and ate lunch at the park. this was the perfect way to reconnect and relax and enjoy the beauty that was around us.

After Kayaking, we got a little wet trying to get out of the kayaks!

Rodeo and County Fair

we splurged a little this year and bought tickets for all the kids to ride rides. we didn't have to pay to get into the fair or rodeo so went bought lots of delicious food and played. we even had a bonus concert that we went to. we had no idea there was a concert after the rodeo that was free so we stayed for that and even went down to the stage and danced in the cow poop.

Ocean Shores

Pat had to work at Ocean shores so we took advantage of the free hotel room and took our kids on a real vacation. The kids and i played as much as possible in the indoor pool.whenever pat had to leave for work we would head to the pool. we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered the hotel we booked was in fact a condo! we had our own kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, and separate bedroom. the whole condo could comfortably sleep 6! and that would be without utilizing the floor space at all. we spent the last day spending as much of our time at the Pacific Beach. we played in the sand and it was the perfect setting for flying kites.

I had to have fun with the boys since they both fell asleep!

Catching Up Part 3

Aarin is our 4th child and the 3rd boy! He is 2 years old. he is a mixture of all 3 older siblings. he is sweet and loving, adventurous and feisty! Depending on the day and his mood he also looks like all his siblings. This boy has no fear and loves to make me sweat....He is such a dare devil. He has an infectious laugh and a great big smile. he is a relatively Happy boy. he can count to 10 and knows his ABC's a little bit. He is becoming a great mommy's little helper! For Halloween he was gonna be superman but then he saw the pumpkin outfit and changed his mind.

Catch up Part 2

Damin is now 4. and is a sassy, spunky, funny, little dude! he has more energy than anything i have ever encountered. he has so many faces to go with his many personalities. he is the first of my kids to have not one,not two, not three, but four imaginary friends, Banger, Langer, Danger, & Blanger! LOL!!!!!!He is so loving and snuggely. probably the one thing about this age that i love. Damin Hasn't started school yet and next couldnt come fast enough on most days. he does like to do homeschool on the occasions when he reminds me. For Halloween he wanted to go as Bat Man, but the day before changed his mind and went as a Lion.Turned out to be a good thing when it started sprinkling and got cold.

Playing Catch Up

So much has happened in the last 2 years that i dont think i can actually recall everything!
Nadia is now 10 Years old. she is in the 5th grade (Ms. Murphy's class). she enjoys going to FIGGS to spend time with girls. after spending every waking moment with 3 brothers who could blame her! she loves to sing and dance and is a yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do!!!!! she loves putting her little brother to bed for me on occasions. and he makes her smile. she has come so far and is a brave girl. she has done things that i could never have even imagined at the age she is. she surprises me all time with her energy and excitement for life and learning. For Halloween Nadia dressed up as a Raccoon. I Love that she chose a Raccoon....

Malik just turned 8! he was just Baptized!!!!! he really opens my eyes to the teachings and joys of the gospel. he has a faith of obedience to gospel truths and standards that i constantly struggle with. he doesnt question his faith for a second and soaks it all in. he is in the 2nd grade (Mrs.Lemagie's class). his teachers says he is so polite and sincere to everyone he meets.he has an eagerness to learn. he also is a yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do!!!!!! this is the One activity that both he and Nadia can do together and not argue. i am so greatful they have something they can build memories together with. it probably helps that they are equally competitive and are slight perfectionists. i wish that would cross over to them cleaning their room. this year for Halloween he dressed up as an Army Medic.

Malik being Baptized
He was baptized on his B-Day just like Nadia was.
I really enjoyed getting to take Malik's baptism pics! He is so grown up and handsome!!!
